If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough.
My goal is to tell relevant and relatable stories that are easy to understand and leave a lasting impression. I enjoy transforming complex ideas into digestible information through visuals, audio, and written word. I also enjoy writing about topics that impact people in their daily lives, as well as the abstract concepts our minds drift to when we're "busy" with our day job. Storytelling is both an art and a science, so I welcome the challenge of hacking consumer minds to really speak to them.
My personal writing style is supported by research, humor, and by my close friend, the thesaurus.
Content topics include:
Noise is not the problem, sameness is.
My approach? Create a two-way conversation that elevates brands from products and services to full-on experiences. I strive to develop and communicate personality that humanizes the brand while satisfying the need for authenticity, relying on personas, customer interviews and data as my guide.
I have experience with platforms including SalesForce, Crayon, Pendo, HubSpot, and Google Adwords. I also have lightweight graphic design experience using web-based softwares and Sketch.
Innovation + Growth
Design thinking, innovation strategy,
& non-linear growth - oh my!
My focus on innovation for the past several years has allowed me to take an in-depth look at business models, corporate innovation strategies, and begin exploring the world of text analytics. According to my graduate marketing professor, I'll soon be able to see around corners.
We are living in an innovation and attention driven economy, where it's imperative for companies to work towards what is beyond the immediate horizon and catch customer attention in the process.
Things I believe:
I'm innately curious and love to learn, so consuming content is how I spend the majority of my free time - especially podcasts. My latest learning pursuits include data analysis via Looker, product management methodologies, and improving my storytelling ability.
Intellectual curiosity, connecting with others, professional communication, big picture thinking, finding the way when there's a will, and being the person you can count on to get things done.
